Warehouse Shift Supervisor

Walk A Chesapeake Distribution is a family-owned regional distributor operating a refrigerated distribution center in Baltimore off I-95. We are hiring a fully on-site Warehouse Shift Supervisor for 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. You’ll supervise a crew of about 20. The owner still walks the floor, and our team values early, honest communication and ownership of safety.

• Lead and support a warehouse crew of about 20 through the shift.
• Coordinate warehouse work as trailers arrive, including busy periods with multiple arrivals.
• Keep work organized and maintain safe practices across the floor.
• Support accurate, timely warehouse and freight operations using the site's processes and systems.
• Monitor operational results such as mispicks, on-time performance, or detention, and take ownership of issues and follow-up.
• Communicate bad news and operational risks early to the team and owner.

• Experience leading a warehouse or freight crew.
• Practical warehouse or freight experience; familiarity with WMS, RF scanners, and forklifts is relevant.
• A record of showing up on time, staying calm under pressure, and taking ownership of safety.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Baltimore, Monday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

• Cold-chain experience, particularly in a refrigerated distribution center.
• A specific, measurable example of improving mispicks, on-time performance, detention, or another operating result.
