We're looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team at TekSystems. You'll be responsible for accurately inputting, verifying, and maintaining data in our systems. This is a full-time position based in Maryland where you'll work directly with our team to ensure our databases stay current and reliable. Input data from various sources into company databases and spreadsheet systems with high accuracy
Verify data for completeness and correctness before entry and flag any discrepancies for review
Maintain organized records and ensure all files are properly labeled and stored
Perform regular quality checks on entered data to catch and correct errors
Update and modify existing data records as needed based on new information
Prepare reports summarizing data entry activities and any issues encountered
Communicate with team members about data requirements and clarify any unclear information before entry
Meet daily and weekly data entry targets while maintaining accuracy standards
Follow established data entry procedures and company protocols consistently

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in data entry or similar administrative work
Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute with strong accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Comfortable working with databases and basic data management systems
Reliable transportation and ability to work full-time hours in Maryland

Experience with database management software or specialized data entry tools
Familiarity with data validation techniques
Previous experience in a small team environment
Knowledge of basic data privacy and confidentiality practices
