Cafe Barista

Ridgeline Coffee Roasters runs a taproom on Broadway in Denver where we serve the coffees we roast ourselves, right down the street. We're a six-person team — small, close-knit, and serious about what's in the cup. We're hiring a Cafe Barista who can hold their own on bar, talk to customers without making it weird, and show up early without being chased.

• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, filter coffee and other taproom offerings to a consistent, high standard
• Greet and serve customers in a way that reflects who we are — warm, knowledgeable, unpretentious
• Keep your station clean and well-stocked throughout every shift
• Handle cash and card payments accurately
• Dial in espresso at the start of each shift and adjust through the day as needed
• Support the wider team — that includes stocking, cleaning and whatever else needs doing
• Participate in Wednesday cupping sessions and keep building your coffee knowledge

• Experience in a cafe or food-service role — we value attendance and reliability above all else
• Comfortable on an espresso machine and able to produce consistent drinks under pressure
• A people person: friendly, calm and easy to talk to
• Early riser: our shifts start before most people's alarms go off
• Clean and organised behind the bar
• Genuine interest in specialty coffee — you do not need to have all the answers, but you should want to learn
• Able to work weekends and early weekday shifts as part of a regular rotation
