Service Dispatcher

Morrison Plumbing & HVAC is looking for a Service Dispatcher to manage our daily field operations and keep our service teams moving efficiently. You'll be the hub of our operation, coordinating technician schedules, managing customer appointments, and ensuring jobs get completed on time. This role requires someone organized, communicative, and able to handle multiple priorities without losing focus.

• Schedule service appointments and maintenance calls across our Dallas service area, matching customer needs with available technician expertise
• Track technician locations and job progress throughout the day using dispatch software and mobile tools
• Communicate directly with technicians in the field to provide job details, address scheduling conflicts, and handle urgent service calls
• Answer incoming customer calls to gather service request information, provide time windows, and answer basic questions about plumbing and HVAC services
• Input and manage job details in our scheduling system, including customer information, service type, equipment details, and special instructions
• Prioritize emergency calls (burst pipes, no heat in winter) and route them to available technicians immediately
• Follow up with customers after service completion to confirm satisfaction and collect feedback
• Coordinate with the office team to handle billing questions, warranty information, and job documentation
• Monitor technician workload to balance schedules fairly and prevent overages
• Document all dispatches, customer interactions, and job outcomes for service records and quality tracking

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in dispatch, scheduling, or customer service (plumbing or HVAC experience preferred but not required)
• Proficiency with scheduling software and computer systems
• Excellent phone communication skills and ability to stay calm when handling upset customers
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a busy environment
• Knowledge of Dallas-Fort Worth geography and service area
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work from our Dallas location
• Ability to work a standard business schedule with occasional after-hours availability for emergency calls

• Previous experience in plumbing or HVAC dispatch
• Familiarity with GPS tracking software and mobile dispatch applications
• Experience handling billing or invoicing systems
• Spanish language skills to communicate with our diverse customer base
