McKinnon Landscaping is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team in Provo, UT. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in our landscaping projects by operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality services to our clients while ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site.

Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, skid steers, and loaders, to assist in landscaping projects.
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including lubrication and minor repairs, to keep machinery in optimal working condition.
Collaborate with team members to understand project needs and timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed as scheduled.
Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites as needed.
Assist with grading, leveling, and preparing land for landscaping installations.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any potential issues.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a landscaping or construction setting.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with landscape construction and maintenance practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Capacity to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Certification for operating heavy machinery (e.g., OSHA, NCCCO).
Experience with irrigation systems and landscape installation.
Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and plant materials.
