IT Support Specialist

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you'll be the first line of support for our employees, troubleshooting technical issues, managing hardware and software, and keeping our systems running smoothly. You'll work remotely and have the opportunity to grow your technical skills while making a direct impact on our team's productivity.

• Respond to support tickets and phone calls from employees, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, monitors, and other IT equipment
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across company systems
• Perform regular software updates and security patches on company devices
• Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and work with internet service providers when needed
• Document all support cases in our ticketing system with clear notes on issues and resolutions
• Provide remote assistance to employees using remote desktop tools and screen sharing software
• Set up new employee equipment and accounts before their start date
• Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and software licenses
• Identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements or training to prevent future problems
• Assist with password resets, email configuration, and basic user account troubleshooting
• Follow security protocols and company IT policies in all support activities

• Previous IT support or help desk experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues and perform basic diagnostics
• Experience with ticketing systems and documentation practices
• Excellent communication skills—you'll explain technical concepts to non-technical users regularly
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work through issues systematically
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in IT or related field is a plus
• Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace suitable for remote work

• CompTIA A+ certification or similar IT support certification
• Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts and TCP/IP
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM) tools
• Familiarity with VPN and remote access technologies
