Financial Analyst

KYNY Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team on a remote, full-time basis. In this role, you'll analyze financial data, prepare reports, and support decision-making across the organization. You'll work with budgets, forecasts, and actual performance metrics to help leadership understand our financial position and identify opportunities for improvement. This is a hands-on position where you'll develop spreadsheets, track key metrics, and communicate findings to both finance and non-finance teams.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses
• Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
• Analyze actual spending against budgets and investigate significant variances
• Gather financial data from multiple systems and sources, then organize and validate it for accuracy
• Create dashboards and visualizations to track key performance indicators and financial metrics
• Support the annual budget process by collecting department forecasts and consolidating into company-wide projections
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to answer specific business questions from management
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
• Document financial processes and maintain organized files for audit and compliance purposes
• Collaborate with department heads to explain financial results and discuss business implications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field is preferred
• Previous experience in financial analysis, accounting, or similar finance role is preferred
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formula writing
• Ability to work with financial data accurately and catch errors
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable learning new software and financial systems
• Organized approach to managing multiple projects with different deadlines
• Willingness to ask clarifying questions and verify assumptions

• Experience with financial reporting software or ERP systems
• Familiarity with SQL or other data query tools
• Background in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis)
• Experience preparing presentations for executive audiences
• Knowledge of GAAP principles
