Agile Business Analyst (Mentorship & Placement Program USA)

Kani Solutions Inc is seeking an Agile Business Analyst + Scrum Master to join our mentorship and placement program. This is a contract position designed for professionals looking to build real-world experience in agile environments while contributing to meaningful projects. You'll work closely with experienced team members who will guide your development, help you understand business requirements in agile settings, and prepare you for a successful career in business analysis. This remote role offers flexibility while providing structured mentorship and hands-on exposure to agile methodologies.

• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and product teams
• Work with product owners and development teams to translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Create and maintain process documentation and workflow diagrams
• Conduct gap analysis between current and desired business processes
• Support the product owner in backlog refinement and prioritization
• Identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers to the project team
• Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure requirements are properly tested
• Attend mentorship sessions to develop skills in agile practices and business analysis
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Basic understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to gather information from multiple sources and synthesize findings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
• Comfortable working in a remote environment with minimal supervision
• Willingness to learn and openness to feedback
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

• Experience with business analysis tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar)
• Familiarity with SQL or data analysis
• Prior internship or entry-level experience in IT or business operations
• Certification in agile methodologies (SAFe, CSM, or equivalent)
• Experience creating wireframes or user interface mockups
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
