Diesel Technician

Halloway Diesel Services is looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Reno, NV. You will be hands-on with heavy vehicles every day — diagnosing faults, carrying out scheduled servicing, and keeping our customers' fleets running reliably. • Perform diagnostics on heavy vehicles using electronic diagnostic tools and visual inspection
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing in line with manufacturer specifications
• Identify and repair faults in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and related components
• Complete accurate service records and job cards for every vehicle
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and team leads on job status and parts requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Hands-on experience with heavy vehicle diagnostics (engines, drivetrains, electrical systems)
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
• Valid driver's licence
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• ASE or equivalent diesel/heavy vehicle certification
• Experience with fleet or commercial transport operators
• Familiarity with common diagnostic software (e.g. Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link)

• $28–$36 per hour, based on experience
• Full-time, stable position with a well-established diesel services company
• Reno, NV location
