Geodyssey Research LLC is seeking a Project Manager to oversee research initiatives and coordinate activities across our small, collaborative team. You'll manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables while working directly with researchers and stakeholders. This is a remote position that requires someone who can stay organized, communicate clearly, and solve problems as they come up.

Plan and schedule research projects from start to finish, including setting milestones and tracking progress against deadlines
Manage project budgets and track spending to ensure projects stay within financial constraints
Coordinate with team members and external partners to gather requirements and clarify project scope
Create and maintain project documentation including timelines, status reports, and meeting notes
Identify obstacles and work with the team to find solutions before issues derail progress
Monitor deliverables and ensure work meets quality standards and client expectations
Conduct regular check-ins with team members to review progress and adjust plans as needed
Handle administrative tasks like scheduling meetings, booking resources, and managing project files
Communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders through written reports and presentations
Track lessons learned after project completion and recommend improvements for future work

3+ years of project management experience in research, consulting, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities
Proficiency with project management tools and software (such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to create and interpret project schedules, budgets, and status reports
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Experience managing research projects or academic initiatives
Familiarity with research methodologies and timelines
PMP or similar project management certification
Experience working with small teams or startups
Knowledge of grant management or compliance requirements
