Sign Shop Production Lead

Front Range Signworks is a 14-person fabrication and installation shop in Denver's Santa Fe Arts District. We build channel letters, monument signs, and fleet wraps for clients across the Front Range — and we install them ourselves. We're looking for a Production Lead who can run the shop floor, keep a six-person crew on schedule, and step outside when a general contractor needs a straight answer about an install date.

This is a four-tens schedule, Monday through Thursday, 6am start. You'll be hands-on every day — reading work orders, sequencing jobs on a CNC router and a vinyl plotter, and making sure safety comes first on every shift. We provide boots and safety glasses, and we pay for your boom lift certification if you don't already have it.

• Own the daily production schedule: sequence jobs across the CNC router and vinyl plotter, match crew to tasks, and keep work moving without bottlenecks
• Lead a six-person shop crew — assign work, answer questions on the floor, and hold the standard on quality and safety
• Read and interpret work orders; flag issues with materials, timelines, or specs before they become problems
• Coordinate with installers and project managers on install dates and site readiness
• Communicate directly with general contractors and clients on production timelines when needed
• Maintain a clean, organised, safety-first shop environment
• Track job progress and report daily status to ownership

• Proven experience running a sign shop floor, print production environment, or comparable manufacturing operation
• Hands-on experience with CNC routing and/or vinyl plotting equipment
• Ability to read and execute production work orders accurately
• Strong scheduling and crew-coordination skills
• Comfortable talking to contractors and clients — clear, confident, no-nonsense
• Safety-minded by habit, not just by policy
• Boom lift certification a plus (we pay for it if you don't have one)
• Must be able to work a Monday–Thursday, 6am–4:30pm schedule
