Logistics Manager

Fair Winds Medical is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee the movement, storage, and delivery of medical equipment throughout our supply chain. You'll manage inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers and customers, and ensure products reach their destinations safely and on time. This role reports directly to our Operations Director and plays a critical part in keeping our manufacturing facility running smoothly while meeting customer commitments.

• Plan and manage inbound shipments from suppliers, ensuring materials arrive when needed for production schedules
• Monitor inventory levels across the warehouse and manufacturing floor, identifying when stock needs to be replenished or reduced
• Coordinate outbound shipments of finished medical equipment to hospitals, clinics, and distribution partners
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with freight carriers and logistics providers to control costs
• Track shipments in real-time and communicate delivery status to customers and internal teams
• Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and picking processes
• Ensure all medical equipment shipments comply with FDA regulations and industry-specific packaging requirements
• Work with the manufacturing team to forecast demand and adjust inventory accordingly
• Resolve shipping delays, damaged goods, or delivery issues quickly to minimize customer impact
• Maintain accurate records in our logistics management system and generate reports on shipping costs and performance metrics
• Train and supervise 2-3 warehouse and logistics staff members

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management
• Proven experience managing inventory and coordinating shipments in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with medical device or pharmaceutical shipping requirements and regulations
• Proficiency with logistics software and inventory management systems
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to track multiple shipments simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in a warehouse environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business is preferred

• Experience with FDA compliance and medical device distribution
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
• Certification in supply chain management (APICS CSCP or similar)
• Experience managing a small team or supervisory responsibilities
