Bert's Auto Parts is looking for an AI Automation Engineer to join our IT department. In this role, you'll design and build automation solutions that streamline our operations, from inventory management to order fulfillment. You'll work with existing systems and data to identify opportunities where AI and automation can reduce manual work and improve efficiency. This is a remote position where you'll collaborate with teams across the company to understand their challenges and deliver practical solutions.

Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify automation opportunities and inefficiencies
Design and develop AI-powered automation solutions using machine learning frameworks and tools
Build and maintain Python scripts, workflows, and applications that automate repetitive tasks across departments
Integrate automation solutions with existing systems, databases, and APIs used throughout the company
Test automation workflows thoroughly to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance before deployment
Monitor deployed solutions and troubleshoot issues when they arise in production environments
Document technical specifications, code, and processes so other team members can understand and maintain your work
Collaborate with department heads and team members to gather requirements and understand business needs
Stay current with developments in AI, machine learning, and automation technologies relevant to our operations
Provide training and support to help teams adopt and use new automation tools effectively

3+ years of professional experience developing automation solutions or working with AI/machine learning
Strong proficiency in Python and experience building applications or scripts that solve real problems
Working knowledge of machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or similar frameworks
Experience integrating automation solutions with databases, APIs, and existing business systems
Ability to write clear documentation and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while staying coordinated with your team
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Familiarity with workflow automation tools like Zapier, Make, or UiPath
Background in automotive, retail, or supply chain operations
Experience deploying and managing machine learning models in production
Knowledge of data pipeline tools and ETL processes
