Caregiver

Angels At Heart Home Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide direct personal care and support to clients in their homes throughout the Salisbury area. In this role, you'll help clients maintain their independence and quality of life by assisting with daily activities, providing companionship, and ensuring their safety and comfort. You'll work one-on-one with clients, building meaningful relationships while delivering attentive, respectful care.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Help clients with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary management according to their care plans
• Provide mobility assistance and help clients transfer safely using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying living spaces, doing laundry, and maintaining a clean environment
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and help with medication reminders as directed
• Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being and report any changes or concerns to the care supervisor
• Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation, activities, and social engagement
• Maintain detailed and accurate care notes documenting daily activities and client observations
• Follow all care plans and instructions provided by nursing staff and care supervisors
• Respect client privacy and maintain confidentiality in all matters
• Maintain professional boundaries while building trust with clients and their families

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Ability to lift and transfer clients safely (up to 50 lbs regularly)
• Comfortable working in clients' homes with varying living conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in helping others
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed and current TB test

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
• Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or in a similar caregiving role
• Experience working with elderly clients or those with specific conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's
• Bilingual abilities
• First Aid certification
